Gravimetric loss-in-weight blender for starve-fed extruders
Designed to blend pellets, regrind and flakes.
Ensures excellent performance in terms of accuracy and precision, even in processes characterized by significant instability.
Hybrid dosing system
Thanks to the mixed dosing system, consisting of stations equipped with either a vibratory tray feeder or an auger screw, it is possible to simultaneously dose pellets, regrind and flakes with different bulk densities and flow characteristics.
All dosing stations, including the vibratory tray ones, are mounted on high‑resolution load cells, ensuring precise and accurate measurement of all the material being dosed and not only the material contained in the hoppers.
Vibratory tray dosing units allow throughputs up to 2.100 Kg/h
For low‑flowability materials such as regrind or flakes, dosing is carried out using vibratory trays placed on load cells.
The use of accelerometers makes it possible to control the vibration frequency and amplitude of the vibratory trays with extreme precision; this results in higher accuracy and faster response to throughput variations.
Extremely accurate additive dosing thanks to the auger screw feeders
The dosing units are placed on high‑resolution load sense cells. In this way, all the material is weighed, including the material flowing through the screw and not only the content inside the feed hopper.
The inclined screw helps prevent unwanted spillage, increasing dosing accuracy.
Auger screw feeders are capable of delivering a maximum throughput of 400 kg/h.
Self‑supporting structure for up to 8 components
The frame is designed to accommodate pre‑storage hoppers and/or vacuum receivers without the need for additional supports.
It can be installed directly on the extruder throat, on a mezzanine to feed by gravity the supply hopper of the processing machine, or on a vacuum take-off stand, to feed one or more processing machine as blending station.
Extreme accuracy and responsiveness
A key performance indicator for starve‑fed extruder feeders is how quickly they react to changes in melt‑pump pressure and the resulting throughput fluctuations.
