Continuous gravimetric feeder
Continuous gravimetric multi-ingredient feeder, designed to blend pellets in extrusion processes which require precise and consistent blending.
Wide range of models and configurations with throughput up to 2,000 kg/h.
COMPO is available in 12 models: with 2, 3, 4, 5, or 6 ingredients, for throughputs up to 150, 300, 600, 1,000, and 2,000 kg/h.
It can be configured for installation directly on the extruder feed throat or on a mezzanine.
The self-supporting structure is pre-arranged for pre-storage hopper and/or vacuum loader installation without additional supports.
High accuracy auger screws
The auger screw feeders, inclined to prevent unwanted ‘spilling’ effects, are driven across a wide speed range by DC motors with long‑life brushes and closed‑loop speed control.
Load sense cells weigh all the content inside the whole dosing unit, not just the material contained in the hoppers.
Dosing rate constantly matched to the extruder throughput
The side-ingredient feeders are individually controlled to achieve and maintain the preset dosing ratio with the main ingredient.
This means that the blending throughput is always aligned with the processing machine one.
Integrated extrusion control module Graviline
With the Graviline option, the extruder and haul‑off speed can be automatically controlled in order to reach and maintain the preset production and film thickness values.
